JiJun Qiu

Professor Qiu received his doctor degree in August 2005 in Materials Science from the School of Materials and Science Engineering of Tianjin University. He has worked and studied in Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Pusan University of Korea and University of Oklahoma in the United States. In June 2019, he joined the School of Microelectronics of Dalian University of Technology. His main research direction is the development of uncooled, photonic, lead salt infrared focal plane detector, and he has made pioneering or breakthrough work in the growth, function regulation, device structure design and imaging system integration of IV-VI group lead salt materials. He has chaired and completed a National Natural Science Youth Fund of China, a Youth Fund for the Director of the Key Laboratory of Shanghai Institute of Silicate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a cooperation project between Guangdong Province and the provincial Academy of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has published more than 50 papers in international mainstream journals such as Adv. Mater., J. Mater. Chem., Nanotechnology, Crystal Growth & Design, J. Appl. Phys.  including more than 20 as the first author and the corresponding author, and has been cited more than 1,300 times. For the patents, 4 patents have been applied for in the United States with 1  authorized, 8 Chinese patents and 1 Korean patent.
